genevieve gauckler

i forgot that one of my favorite illustrators, genevieve gauckler, has a blog, and a show, and vinyl toys inspired by said show.  this is the illustrator that made my brother ask me if i did a lot of acid when he saw her stuff as the background on my computer a few years ago. i wonder the same about him ever since i saw an issue of "american rifleman" (the NRA's magazine) floating around my house this past summer.

From the Desk of Tim Carney

wise words on what I should do with my life:

"just get high and talk about cobalt all day. people will take you for real."

thank you tim, advice every graduate should hear.

Things I desire...

some things about new york that one wouldn't realize before moving here, but can really drag a soul down, would be a.) the cost of eating more than ramen and b.) the unnecessary material desire the city can fuel.  it makes one stop and realize that while new york is an awesome place to live and experience, it can drive you mad by making you want things.  when i go back home i stop wanting to break my bank account buying shit that i don't really need because there is no constant push to have the latest product that one feels when walking down any well merchandised strip of retail. so i have decided to share the things i wish i could buy, but probably do not need, as a form of catharsis of sorts:

this is the "penny oversized bag" from Intuition, which is apparently a seemingly chill australian surf/skate brand with its own team.  found on karmaloop here.

this is the courreges vintage block sweater from the sixties that i found on ebay for around $150. ugh
