The other day we got new stationary in at kate spade, and I am torn as whether or not to buy it, seeming as I always like to make my own cards, but these are so sweet and right up my alley (maybe toooooo sweet, I would have made some accompanying ones that read "hello raincloud" with a grey and black theme), i would love to make this for a living.

Sweet Photographer

Wendy Bevans is a photographer i found on the blog granica monotremata.  she is an awesome contemporary photographer, who i believe is from new mexico.  her photography has the over exposed feel of so many old pictures hanging around my house. she uses models in a way that seem like so much shit out there right now, but it is all a bit twisted, which makes it so dynamic.  the way she uses the body against its environment is really intriguing.

that being said, i wish she would put out a book or something, because her shit is beautiful.  it reminds me of that book i randomly got from the strand by knut wolfgang maron, which was from 1908-1994

this photo kinda makes me think it would look really cool if we newspaper decoupaged the walls in our hallway. like imagine the wall above the molding is all newspapered like this. then like resting on the molding is a solid row of our poloraids on each side the whole length of the hallway. doesn't that sound kinda cool? ya/no? maybe just one of those ideas that only sounds like a good idea when I am super tired?



it would be like you enter into the black and white hallway with just touches of the polaroid colour, that then slowly leads you to our more colourful kitchen... haha
